FEATURED POEMS
My One Regret

I've only had one regret in life,
and that was loving you.
I should've never traded sanity
for a supposed love so true.

Nothing is worth the agony
of losing your mind to love.
When I said I'd take the risk,
what was I thinking of?

I've tasted the sweetest thing,
been given a dose of ecstasy,
But then it was taken away,
now there's just a shadow left of me.

I've learned nothing from this madness,
except that I need you,
But now I'm left without,
and there's not a thing that I can do.

If I had kept it all inside,
if I had left it all the same,
You wouldn't have broken my heart,
I would have never felt such pain.

I finally found my soul in you,
I found a love I can't forget.
How sad that I followed my heart,
and it led to my one regret.

Surrender

Alluring phantom in my dreams,
I pursue you till I wake,
And find you nestled in my bed.
What a silhouette you make.

Such a tempting, teasing shadow,
I feel I can't endure,
Another second of this waiting,
For a love so sweet and pure.

Another night of restless slumber,
Knowing you are there beside.
I'm so vulnerable to you,
And I ache for you inside.

I'm a captive to desire.
An inferno builds within.
Such exquisite heat arises,
From the depths beneath my skin.

I am captured in this moment,
Of bidding innocence adieu,
So I'll awake your sleeping body,
And give my soul to you.
